Power Loggers for Accurate Energy & Power Monitoring
−
Measure. Record. Understand Your Electrical Energy Usage.
Get reliable power loggers for monitoring electricity consumption, load behaviour, power demand and electrical parameters across commercial and industrial systems.
Apex Test Instruments offers professional power and energy logging solutions for single-phase and three-phase applications, including the Hioki PW3365, Hioki PW3360, PEL104, PEL51 and PEL103. Whether you are carrying out an energy audit, investigating excessive electricity consumption or monitoring equipment performance, our range helps you collect the data needed to make informed decisions.
Why the Right Power Logger Matters
+
High electricity bills do not tell you where, when or why energy is being consumed.
Without accurate measurement data, problems such as unexpected demand peaks, inefficient equipment, uneven loading and unnecessary energy consumption can remain difficult to identify.
A professional power and energy logger records electrical parameters over time, giving engineers and facility teams a clearer picture of actual system behaviour.
Depending on the instrument selected, power logging can help you:
- Track voltage, current, power and energy consumption
- Record electrical data over extended periods
- Analyse equipment and circuit load profiles
- Support energy-efficiency surveys and energy audits
- Monitor single-phase or three-phase electrical systems
- Identify periods of high power demand
- Validate the results of energy-saving measures
- Review power factor and other electrical parameters
- Collect data for further analysis and reporting
Instead of relying on a single measurement taken at one moment, an energy logger allows you to understand how electrical consumption changes across hours, days or longer monitoring periods.
Power & Energy Loggers for Different Applications
+
Hioki PW3365 Clamp On Power Logger
Designed for single-phase through three-phase, 4-wire systems. The PW3365 measures from 90 V to 520 V and provides harmonic display up to the 13th order. Its covered voltage sensors are designed to allow voltage measurement from insulated conductors without direct metallic contact, helping reduce the risk associated with conventional voltage connections. It can also store months of measurement data on an SD card.
Hioki PW3360 Clamp On Power Logger
A compact power logger suited to energy audits, power-demand monitoring and verification of energy-saving measures. It supports single-phase through three-phase, 4-wire systems, measures from 90 V to 780 V and can simultaneously measure three single-phase 2-wire circuits within the same power system. The PW3360-21 also supports harmonic measurement up to the 40th order.
PEL104 3-Phase Power & Energy Logger
Built for energy-consumption diagnostics where flexible connectivity is important. The PEL104 supports Wi-Fi, GPRS, Ethernet, Bluetooth and USB communication, with four voltage and three current inputs. It can continuously record measurements and can be installed without interrupting the mains power supply.
PEL51 Single-Phase Power & Energy Logger
A practical option for single-phase energy-efficiency surveys. The PEL51 measures, records, calculates and displays electrical values including voltage, current, power and energy. It supports Wi-Fi, Ethernet, SD storage and web-server connectivity and includes a flexible current sensor.
PEL103 3-Phase Power & Energy Logger
Designed for more demanding three-phase monitoring applications. The PEL103 records voltage, current, power and energy values and supports measurements up to 1,000 V and 10,000 A, together with power-factor parameters and harmonics up to the 50th order. Data can be stored using an SD memory card, with connectivity through Wi-Fi, Ethernet and its web server.

Frequently Asked Questions About Power Loggers
+
What is a power logger?
A power logger is an electrical measurement instrument that records parameters such as voltage, current, power and energy consumption over time. It is commonly used for energy audits, load studies, demand monitoring and electrical-system performance analysis.
What does a power and energy logger measure?
Depending on the model, a power and energy logger can measure and record voltage, current, active power, apparent power, reactive power, power factor and energy consumption. Some advanced models can also measure harmonics and other power parameters.
What is the difference between a power logger and a power quality analyser?
A power logger is primarily designed for recording energy consumption, load and electrical parameters over extended periods. A power quality analyser generally provides more detailed analysis of disturbances and power-quality issues. The right instrument depends on whether your main objective is energy monitoring, load analysis or detailed power-quality troubleshooting.
Can power loggers be used for three-phase systems?
Yes. Many professional power loggers support three-phase electrical systems. For example, the Hioki PW3360 and PW3365 support configurations up to three-phase, 4-wire, while the PEL103 and PEL104 are designed for three-phase power and energy logging applications.
